Courses offered during the 2026 Summer Session in Epidemiology are eligible for CME credits

CME Credits with SSE

The SSE is designed for public health and healthcare professionals, researchers, and others who want to build a foundation in epidemiologic science. A background in public health, biostatistics, or epidemiology is helpful but not required.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Michigan Medical School and the University of Michigan School of Public Health. The University of Michigan Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Learning Objective

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to understand and utilize the central principles of research in clinical populations, including study design, analysis of Biostatistics, and causal inference. SSE courses address the need of clinicians and other professionals to be informed of new techniques for understanding, conducting, and evaluating population research.
